I met Jesus at the age of 30.
Married at 39.
And, the first five years of our marriage, we struggled with infertility.
For most of those 39 years I tried to dull the ache of singleness with social activities, work, achievements, volunteering, television—anything to keep from thinking about being alone.
But even today, happily married, I am reminded that waiting for “what could be” is a great way to miss out on the “what’s right now.”
Hi, I’m Merritt, and my passion is to point you to Jesus in the midst wanting your life to look different than it does today.
I love my marriage. And my husband. And my baby girl. But I promise you, marriage is not the ultimate rescue from singleness that you desire. Even happily-ever-after comes with disappointment.
When you join this community, I’ll openly and honestly share my story…listen to yours…and build along with you a sense of courage and camaraderie while you diligently seek the Lord to satisfy your desires. He will do it. I promise. And so does He.
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. – Matthew 6:33 (NASB)
